Family Ties
Born in 1930,
Clothed in art deco
she was the eldest child,
Tall and strong,
Towering above all who preceded her.
A mere 11 months later,
He came into this world,
surpassing his older sister.
For years he reigned supreme,
Titan of the city's skyline.
Decades later they watched
As the twins grew,
Rising higher than they,
Heralding a new generation,
The new twinkle in the family's eye.
Until the fall.
Do sister Chrysler
and brother Empire State
Ever gaze southward
And miss their younger siblings?
